I hit my top weight of 252 in march 2004. I had shortness of breath and I could barely walk. I decided that I needed to do something or I was going to die. The dr. could not find anything wrong with me. I started eating healthy -less meat, more fruits and vegetables- and I started exercising. In may 2004 I stopped smoking. My exercise was 15 min. every other day. Now I walk at least 4 miles a day and Today I weighed 196. So that is 62 pounds I have lost.
I now exercise everyday. I have a lot of energy and I feel good, less pain in my joints, my skin looks healthier, my mind seems to be sharper. I actually feel like I am in my 30's instead of my 50's.
On May 7, 2004 I quit smoking,
I am not finished with my weight loss, although I have been at a standstill for a long time. I don't know if I got lax about my eating or if my body got tired of losing and decided to mutiny on me but I am still trying to lose .
I work at curves so my exercise is walking and working out at curves.
That is some of my story. Some of my story I will probably not ever talk about and some of it will come out along and along. I do not want to bore all too much at one time. lol
Going to mow grass now.

Adra.. Your story doesn't bore any of us! I think it's great that you have lost 62 lbs and still losing.. My journey isn't over yet.. but it is so complicated sometimes.. Especially when it has taken me 1 year to lose 28 lbs! I feel like I should be less then that but I get discouraged too easily! Congratulations on the quitting smoking! I know that must be hard.. but I know you feel so proud right now!!
